Abstract

As this book is intended, primarily, to give practical, as opposed to academic, guidance to students and potential practitioners of Design-Build, and to broaden their understanding of the way it operates in practice, the topic of contract conditions is dealt with, relatively briefly, with comment restricted to the most pertinent conditions of the contracts. Thankfully, contractual disputes in this form of contracting are relatively rare, and where a standard, unamended form of Design-Build contract has been used, few, if any, disputes have reached the courts. But this does not mean that those involved should not understand the terms and provisions of the contract.

‘The Form remains, the function never dies’
