Abstract

In the traditional method of valuation (chapter 2) it was seen that the basis of capitalisation of the rent is that the income is received annually in arrears. This has nothing to do with any inherent weaknesses of the method but comes about because, conventionally, valuation tables were based on interest compounded annually.
