Abstract

Computing is a process which, like many other processes, can be simply stated to comprise three basic components

  1. (a)

    an input(s),

  2. (b)

    a processing facility(s) and

  3. (c)

    an output(s)

which are connected as shown in the following diagram

It can be seen that the processing facility takes an input(s), processes it and then, as a result of the processing, produces an output(s).
