Abstract

Tony Harrison was born in Leeds and educated at Leeds Grammar School and the University of Leeds, where he studied classics. His poems have been published in Loiners (1970), The School of Eloquence (1978) and Continuous (1981). He has also written verse translations of French classical and Ancient Greek dramas. Selected Poems appeared in 1984.
