A Britain Fit to Live In

  • Robert Harvey

Abstract

The environment is the back-burner issue that needs to be elevated to the forefront of British politics, and the Conservative Party is the party best suited to do it. Conservatives are, after all, historically the traditional party of the British countryside; much of their support derives from those who care about the countryside and who care about living conditions in the cities. The Party’s objective has been to help all of the British people to become members of a capital-owning and a home-owning democracy. Our objective is also to help them become members of a leisure-enjoying democracy and to continue to improve the climate in which they live and work.
