Abstract

The line of balance planning technique was developed by the National Building Agency in 1965. The technique was developed for repetitive housing projects but the principles may be readily applied to any repetitive construction sequence. Application areas include sequences involving the erection of reinforced concrete columns and beams, piling and related foundation operations. The technique may equally be applied to refurbishment works and finishing operations on housing projects.
