Southall Youth: An Old-Fashioned Story

  • Chapter
Book cover Multi-Racist Britain

Part of the book series: Youth Questions ((YQ))

Abstract

My intention is to give an inside view of a particular community called Southall, famous to outsiders for its tandooris, its saris, its multi-cultural organisations and its riots. I have lived here all my life. All my life is rooted here. Not much in the way of detachment. The only method of this piece is based on trying to understand that experience.
