Abstract

Many different plants are used by man to provide food. The part of the plant that is eaten may be the root, bulb, tuber, stem, bud, leaf, flower, fruit or seed. Figure 7.1 gives a few examples of plant foods indicating where they are produced on the plant, using a generalised diagram.
