Abstract
In established organisations both large and small, job evaluation and the systems and processes on which it depends and to which it leads are an accepted part of everyday life. As part of the job evaluation process companies have constructd job descriptions and specifications, grading structures, grading grievance procedures, review panels etc; There is little doubt as to why job evaluation is generally considered desirable. Its main objective is to provide a systematic method of establishing internal relativities which can then be used as a basis for determining relative pay levels.
