Abstract

A plea-for-removal crisis is one in which family members,or neighbours, or relatives, or other professional agents and agencies, such as police, teachers, GPs, health visitors and district nurses, plead for, or urgently request the removal of the individual at the centre of the crisis. The following are examples of typical plea-for-removal crises most familiar to any social services office.
