Abstract
Since there is currently no cure for AIDS or for infection by the HTLV-III virus, prevention is a matter of vital concern. In large part this depends on health education. It is vital that those infected with the virus should not pass it on and that those at high risk of acquiring the virus should be aware of ways in which they can reduce their level of risk. This chapter aims to cover the information which it is necessary for patients to be aware of and provides at least some of the details necessary to answer questions which patients may have.
