The Corps versus the NSDStB
When setting down his memoirs in 1965, Baldur von Schirach dated his initial role in the following incident as early in 1930.1 However, according to both Nazi and KSCV primary documents, the affair began late in 1930 and carried through until the autumn of 1931,2 by which time it had set into motion a contentious interaction between the NSDStB and the corps, an interaction which continued well into the Third Reich and through the Second World War.
