Trevor Griffiths: Strategic Dialectics
- 9 Downloads
Although Trevor Griffiths has worked on two plays with Brenton and Hare, Lay-By and Deeds (1978), as well as having a touring production of The Party directed by Hare, he is a political playwright of a very different kind from either of them. His plays possess from the outset a commitment to the harsh cut-and-thrust of political struggle that is scarcely to be found in the early work of either of the others. And again, although Occupations has been toured by the 7:84 Company, Griffiths cannot be fitted into a straight agit-prop slot.
