Abstract

Faulty grammar sets up barriers between speaker and listener, between writer and reader. Those barriers have different shapes, but each is an obstacle across the communicator’s path. An ungrammatical use of language (spoken or written) cannot be precise; for that reason, it is always harder to understand than it need be.
