Abstract
It is customary among critics and reviewers of Jarry to deplore the disproportionate importance accorded to Ubu roi at the expense of the other two Ubu plays, Ubu cocu and Ubu enchaîné. However, it must be said that a close investigation of the other two plays serves mainly to demonstrate the dramatic superiority of Ubu roi.
