Abstract

The cranial cavity contains the brain with its meninges and blood vessels and the cranial nerves which enter and emerge from the brain. The cerebrospinal fluid is produced inside the brain and leaves it to enter the subarachnoid space between two of the meninges. It is re-absorbed mainly into the veins in the cranial cavity.
