Assessing Teams and Work Groups

  • Malcolm Payne
Part of the Practical Social Work book series

This chapter is about how to look at teams and work groups to find out how they work and how they might be changed. Team assessment is important to individuals thinking of joining a team who want to know what their future experience is going to be like, and to managers, whether inside or outside the team, who are thinking about trying to improve its teamwork. Some of the general principles are the same in either case.
