Abstract

The study of any science must begin with the presentation and understanding of certain terms and definitions. This is especially true of thermodynamics which lays great stress in particular on the precise definition of system boundaries and properties. When these definitions have been established, the laws of thermodynamics and in particular their relevance to energy utilisation may be rigorously postulated. Initially, we define the following.
