Some Case Studies in the Application of Cost-Effectiveness and Cost-Benefit Analysis
In chapter 4 the evaluative techniques of cost-effectiveness analysis and cost-benefit analysis were outlined. Most studies claiming to use these techniques in health care have in practice involved cost-effectiveness analysis, that is investigating how to deliver health care, rather than cost-benefit analysis, in which the emphasis is more on whether and how much of different types of care to provide.
