Abstract

Although Ambartsumian considers a fragmentation process, his approach is completely different from that of the ‘traditional’ hypotheses discussed in previous chapters. The basis of the theory is the existence and form of the observed clustering of astronomical systems, ranging from binary stars to clusters of galaxies.
