Abstract

Living organisms in which:-
  1. 1.

    The cell or cells usually do not possess plastids and are unable to synthesise organic compounds from inorganic constituents.

     
  2. 2.

    Feeding is heterotrophic, either holozoic or saprozoic.

     
  3. 3.

    The metabolism of the body results in the production of toxic nitrogenous waste which requires to be excreted.

     
  4. 4.

    There is no cellulose cell wall.
