In the previous chapter it was shown how associations between variables could be conceptualised and measured. We saw that there are statistical techniques which are employed to determine the degree of association between variables, regardless of their level of measurement. These methods are very commonly used and help the researcher to gain an insight into the way parts of the findings relate to each other.
