Abstract
The parties to both the employment relationship and the collective bargaining relationship have access to the use of sanctions to secure their objectives. Employees may quit individually, in groups or en masse.They can use the grievance procedure. Employers may use disciplinary measures. Either party may use the courts and legal sanctions. A whole range of sanctions is available to both parties.
