This chapter examines the involvement of Young Liberals with radical politics in the late 1960s, and the implications of this development for Liberal party unity and electoral strategy and tactics. The party’s relationship with the Labour party is also considered, culminating in a discussion of the Lib—Lab pact of 1977–78.
