The Christian Bible
The Bible is the first and primary source of authority in Christianity.
It is a library of history, letters, psalms, poetry and biography.
The Christian Bible contains the Jewish scripture. Christians call this the Old Testament. It contains 39 books of Jewish scripture. The Old Testament is the root from which Christianity grew.
The New Testament was added to this. It is the story of the life and teaching of Jesus and the growth of the early Christian Church.
