Abstract
All business organisations are involved in some form of buying and selling. The goods or services they provide are offered for sale. The Sales Department is responsible for marketing and selling the products both at home and abroad. A company can spend millions of pounds in creating a new process or in designing and manufacturing a new product. The enormous costs involved in manufacture, production and warehousing can only be recovered if the merchandise sells.
