Abstract

The process of pricing, or estimating as it is commonly called, is carried out by an estimator. An estimator works for a contractor and uses the completed Bill of Quantities after it has been sent to selected contractors for pricing. The main sections of the Bill of Quantities which are priced by the contractors are the preliminaries section and the measured works section that are described in the previous chapters.
