Abstract
By the end of this chapter you will be able to:

understand the basis of how humans receive input through the five senses;

be familiar with the human visual system, from eye to brain;
-
understand the relationship between the visual system and perception;
-
have a working knowledge of the auditory system; and
-
understand basic concepts relating to smell, taste, touch and kinaesthetic feedback.
