Abstract

At the end of this chapter you will be able to:

    list and describe some examples of methods commonly used in psychological research. These may include experiment, observation, survey and case study methods;

    make an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of each method; and

    identify the kinds of research problems for which it is appropriate to use each method.
