Abstract

The essay-writing problems singled out for discussion in this chapter are those most frequently identified in examiners’ reports as giving candidates the greatest trouble and causing them to lose marks. Ways of tackling these particular difficulties are suggested in the notes and outline answers, which demonstrate how problems can be overcome by applying the methods of question analysis and answer planning set out in previous chapters.
