Abstract

An MDS (Microprocessor Development System), or more simply a ‘Development System’, is a computer configuration that is used in the design and development of microprocessor-based systems. An ICE (In-Circuit Emulator) forms part of a development system. Although primarily intended as a design/development tool, a development system and in-circuit emulator can also be used for fault finding procedures on microprocessor-based systems.
