Abstract
In the last chapter, each of the level-three moral principles which figure in Beauchamp and Childress’s principle-based approach was considered. Given understanding of the nature of the obligations generated by these principles, we now move to consider examples of moral dilemmas which arise due to clashes between moral principles. Specifically, we consider clashes between the principle of respect for autonomy, and the principles of beneficence, nonmaleficence and justice.
