Abstract

Housing problems cut into all aspects of life. At the extreme there is the growing problem of homelessness. Without a home it is difficult to get and hold down a job. Homeless people cannot enjoy stable relationships or possessions. Even in temporary housing, such as bed and breakfast, the quality of family life is affected. Anxieties about the security and safety of housing also affect people’s lives. Homelessness and worries about housing can be a cause of both physical and mental health problems.
