Abstract
Part programs are often written away from the machine. This allows the machine to be fully employed for production. The programs may be transferred to the MCU, either via a direct computer link or by a punched tape. Similarly, when the machining is completed the part program is often stored for future use, either on computer discs or on punched tape.
