Abstract

History is full of examples of lost opportunities like that of the recording company who turned down the chance to record the Beatles. Individuals and companies are surrounded by potential opportunities if they have the ability to see them for what they are. You may be aware that the tank was first used by the British Naval Air Squadron because the Army could not see a military use for it, and that the Xerox copier could have been part of the IBM equipment range except that they did not have the foresight to see the huge potential market for photocopiers.
