Abstract

The correct method of building walls of any thickness is first to erect a corner or quoin, ensuring that each quoin brick is set to the correct gauge and that the quoin is perfectly perpendicular. The bricks forming the quoin should all be level (figure 4.1). The same operation is then carried out at the opposite end, that is, to the length required.
