Blowout Fractures Combined with Isolated Laceration of Rectus Muscles

Abstract

Laceration of an extraocular muscle without globe or eyelid involvement is rare. Blowout fractures usually cause entrapment but not laceration of a muscle. Most injuries of this nature also involve adjacent structures. We describe an unusual case of isolated laceration of recti muscles combined with blowout fractures.
