Abstract

Fidelity is a totally independent business, solely dedicated to investment management, with no conflicts of interest. The original company was started in Boston shortly after the Second World War as an independent US investment company. It is now the largest independent investment company in the USA, managing assets in excess of $75 billion. In 1968 Fidelity International Ltd was incorporated as an autonomous company in Bermuda to manage a number of offshore funds investing in international markets, particularly the Far East. Fidelity International is an independent private company wholly owned by its directors and senior executives.
