Visual Perception in Strabismus

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Wenner-Gren Center International Symposium Series ((WGS))

Abstract

Strabismic patients develop mechanisms attempting to allow a visual perception as close as possible to that one of normals in spite of the deviation. These mechanisms however are usually effective only in childhood, i.e., in the plastic age of the visual system.
