Abstract

Some sociologists, such as Parsons and Bales, have concluded that the family is growing more important and stronger in our community today because of the increasing emphasis on children and partners as individuals; isolation increasing the partners’ importance to each other. But this isolation has made the tasks of husband and wife more difficult and as difficulties increase more people can be expected to fail to overcome them.
