Abstract

The world’s exchanges are major users of technology both in terms of processing and distributing data. Increasingly, exchanges are developing systems to provide advanced record-based information feeds which provide raw data output. This raw data is delivered to users (e.g. banks, broking houses) and provides the raw material for the user’s in-house information systems. Additionally, the data provided by exchanges is used by information services (e.g. Reuters, Quick) to form some of the basic building blocks of their information feeds.
