Abstract

The owners, management and staff of hotel, catering, leisure and tourism establishments have a responsibility by law to maintain a healthy and safe environment for both customers and employees (see units 12 to 15). The law provides a firm framework of standards and protection, but accidents do still occur and employees cannot afford to become complacent when dealing with the welfare of people.
