Abstract
I had been in touch by correspondence with Charles Delaunay of the Hot Club of France, who told me in a letter that he was trying to arrange something there that would bring me back there. Charles had been in New York shortly after my return from Japan. I had met him and told him my desire to go back to France. He told me that things were not the same then as before the war, and if I wanted to give it a try, he would see what he could do, though he wouldn’t promise anything.
