Abstract

These data are applicable to the transport of gas over very long distances. Although the Mach Number is usually quite low, large changes in pressure occur, so that the compressibility of the fluid cannot be ignored. For fairly short parallel ducts the assumption of an adiabatic flow is more appropriate (see page 65).
