Abstract
This guide has been prepared using the 1976 Grafton paperback edition of Mrs Dalloway. Each section of the novel is treated as a chapter, but in order to make the plot clearer, there are subdivisions which will take you through episode by episode. It is important to notice, though, that the Grafton edition differs from the original Hogarth (1925) edition in one respect: there should be a space between the bottom of page 51 and the top of page 52. As Woolf intended to include the space, the guide takes account of it.
