Abstract
The Pilgrim’s Progress, first published in 1678 in London by Nathaniel Ponder, had an immediate popular success. Two editions were sold out the first year. The third edition appeared in 1679 with notable additions which make this edition of Part One an almost complete version of the allegory as we know it.
