Abstract

Regulation of the environmental aspects of biotechnology-derived products is constantly evolving. Completion of our manuscript did not end this process; since then, there have been a number of developments that bear upon the topics discussed. A few of the most significant events are summarized in this chapter. To keep the book as current and useful as possible, supplements or other updates are expected to be published periodically.
