Chapter

Abstract

This Unit refers to those children who frequently interrupt (or butt into) activities in which they should be listening rather than talking (e.g., storytime) or in which they should provide others with the opportunity to speak without being constantly interrupted (e.g., class discussions and conversation with others). It does not refer to those children who call out in response to teacher questions or during periods of classroom quiet as this group of children are considered in the Unit CALLS OUT.
