Abstract

The Logo language has been with us now in one form or another for some time and its use not only in the primary phase but also in the secondary is rapidly increasing as teachers become more able to deal with the hardware that resides in their schools. Essentially Logo is a very ‘friendly’ language in which to program. However, because of that friendliness the facilities that the language is able to offer tend to diminish. This is true of all high level languages which make claims to come close to natural language. A statement in Logo is fairly readily recognisable for what it is, stilted though the language may be.
