The Law Relating to Computer Bureaux

The traditional batch processing computer bureau, so much a feature of the early days of commercial computing, has been overtaken by the advent of the personal computer and the ever increasing availability of smaller computer systems. However, smaller systems are unlikely to be able to provide the computing power required in a number of applications and the market has grown for various remote access arrangements, where the user accesses the bureau’s mainframe system through terminals at the user’s site.
